“Small business doesn’t have the network of support large corporations have, but we have each other. That’s why Watters Garden Center is such a strong supporter of our Chambers of Commerce. Networking events allow small business owners to share ideas like advertising, employees, better business practices and be there for each other.” says Ken.
Big Boxes and Marts are all about the profits coming out of a community, but for small community business, it’s so much more. Lisa Lain says, “Ken and I look for ways to make our community better, that’s why we featured two non-profits at this event. The Chino Valley Lioness Club has a fun fundraiser titled Brew, Bites & Grub, so we encouraged them to sell tickets to the event while at the garden center. Prescott Frontier Rotary is hosting a garden party on June 24th titled, ‘Grapes 4 Grades’ where 100% of the money raised goes directly back to our local school districts.”
