Nursery Sales

We are looking for new talent to fill full and part-time seasonal Nursery Sales positions in a respected, fast-paced, and FUN family-owned business beginning March 1, 2023. The ideal candidates for these positions are hard-working, customer service-oriented individuals with a desire to learn. We believe plants make people happy, and this position gives you the opportunity to not only help customers fall in love with their home garden and landscapes, but you’re also helping to beautify our community!

We like working with each other, and believe we are strongest as a team. WE DON’T WORK NIGHTS. We are in retail and open seven days a week, but super flexible and can work with students and parents, too. You will be home for breakfast and dinner each day, even on the busiest days. If you like to garden, we offer generous employee discounts for the best plants in town. We want you to learn how to garden at Watters Garden Center and give you an incentive to try something new in your gardens.

The positions require a minimum of 6 months of customer service experience and a high school diploma or its equivalent. Nursery and plant knowledge are pluses, but not required. You will be a garden pro after just one spring season here at Watters! Duties include but are not limited to customer service and sales, price and stock inventory, register functions, assist in receiving merchandise, read and learn about product lines carried in the Garden Center, follow safe work practices, perform other related duties and assignments as requested, and general nursery clean-up. The position requires extensive use of back, legs, knees, arms, feet, and hands for lifting, stooping, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, pulling, pushing, reaching overhead, and walking. Unassisted lifting limits between 30 and 50 lbs. Individuals may be required to do any or all of these situations throughout the workday with an emphasis on walking and standing for a major portion of the day. The outside environment will comprise most of the day with some inside building activity.
