Garden Response to COVID-19 from Watters Garden Center

PRESCOTT, AZ, March 17, 2020

For many of you, a trip to Watters Garden Center is a welcome escape from everyday life. Spring feels like it is approaching faster than ever. In my yard, daffodils are blooming, Lenton Rose flowers are unfurling, and my Oklahoma Redbud trees look ready to explode into spring bloom. Mother Nature is reaching her hand to pull us outside.

This week marks our 58th year in business. We are excited to celebrate when the time is right. For now, our concentration on trying to make things as normal as possible for our customers and staff. Trucks full of beautiful plants fresh from the grower have filled the garden center.

We have even more focus on fresh vegetable and herb starts and all things edible like fruit trees, grapes, and berry plants. We are here daily, no matter what, to water each and take care of our plant pets. We will continue to turn the lights on and open the doors for business. Our goal of offering the highest quality plants, garden products, and advice remains the same. How exactly we do it may change slightly, but just like Mother Nature, we will adapt. Our community counts on Watters to feed their family from the gardens.

Below are more details about the steps we are taking so you can escape outside ………and ‘Garden On’ this spring!

What to expect from Watters during these times?

Thankfully, our store is outdoors, and the greenhouses are very open to the germ-killing sun and the Arizona elements. However, we make the health of our customers and staff a top priority.

From Watters

~ We will be keeping our doors open, so there are few or no doorknobs to touch.
