To accurately process on-site orders and provide excellent customer service with a smile. Make cashier in nurserysure garden care members have phone, email and address informantion in the Watters system. Address customer by name whenever possible.

Supervises: Great customer service through accurate, friendly cashiering & phone help

 Responsibilities

  • Ring sales through the register

  • Assists in ringing out the register at the end of their shift

  • Receives, stocks, and prices merchandise

  • Restock shelves when product is out of stock or low on inventory

  • Cares for house plants

  • Answers the telephone in a courteous way, “Good morning, (name) speaking, how may I assist you.”

  • Assists in setting up displays and rearranging store items as required

  • Assists in taking store inventory

  • Assists customers with questions about merchandise

  • Keeping merchandise dusted and clean

  • Keep store floors, counters and display units clean & orderly

  • Keep registers supplies stocked at the counter. Pens, papers, invoices and the like stocked

  • Maintain an orderly, neat appearance under the register they are assigned

  • Sell customers on the need to belong to Watters “Customer Care Program”

  • Keep bathrooms clean and stocked

  • Assists with other duties as required.

  • Encouraging customers to come back and shop at Watters.

Education/Experience

  1. High school diploma preferred

  2. Prior cashiering experience desirable

  3. Ability to run computers quickly & eaisly

Knowledge/Skills

  1. Demonstrated skill at cash register operation

  2. Friendly, outgoing personality with customer interactions
