Watters Garden Center to Host Grapes 4 Grades Benefit June 25

June 14, 2017– Wine will flow and spirits will be lifted as Watters Garden Center hosts Prescott Frontier Rotary’s 12th annual Grapes 4 Grades benefit. On June 25, from 5 – 7pm, the garden center transforms into “A Garden Party,” with all proceeds from the event to benefit Prescott Unified School District’s 21st Century Grant Summer Program. Grapes 4 Grades received an outpouring of support in 2016 raising more than $36,000, with high hopes to exceed that total this year.

The event will feature a gorgeous night of wine and song, with the Steve Annibale Jazz trio, 12 different wines and local artisan beers available for tasting, delicious hors d’oeuvres Catered by El Gato Azul, live auction, and cash drawing, all in the lush, vibrant setting of northern Arizona’s most beautiful plant nursery. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at Watters Garden Center, True Value Hardware, and Olsen’s for Healthy Animals.

The 21st Century Grant Summer Program builds a strong foundation in all academic basics and enrichment classes in science, computers, gardening and yoga, so kids in kindergarten through 4th grade can enter school in the fall prepared to do their academic best. All students in Prescott are eligible for this 2-week summer program which includes breakfast and lunch. Last year, more than 200 students attended!

As wines are poured, photo opportunities will overflow at this event, benefiting an essential, important cause.
