Watters Garden Center Voted 'Best Garden Center' in Yavapai County
Over 60 years of blooming success in the mountains of Arizona.
PRESCOTT, AZ – Back in 1962, Yavapai County was filled with open rangeland, roaming cattle, and just about 12,000 residents in the dusty town of Prescott. If you wanted to plant a tree back then, you really had to know how to dig through granite! Well, over 60 years later, the cattle might have moved on, but the love for mountain gardening has only grown deeper. We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Watters Garden Center is still recognized as the 'Best in Class' place to find your plants.
The good folks over at The Daily Courier recently tallied the votes for their annual Readers' Choice Awards. They surveyed thousands of local readers throughout Yavapai County, asking them to share their opinion on who their favorite garden center is. Once again, our amazing community answered: Watters Garden Center.
We are just bursting with gratitude. My daughter, McKenzie Lain, our 3rd generation owner, said it perfectly: "Thank you to all those that recognized Watters as their go-to place for plants. We never take this award for granted."
You see, we've never been just a store that sells greenery. We are a family of mountain gardeners dedicated to your backyard oasis. My beautiful wife and owner, Lisa Watters-Lain, reminded us all this week exactly why we do what we do: "Watters very beginnings, teaching gardeners how to grow in rocky mountain soils, have led to awards like this. We don't believe Watters is selling plants, rather garden success, from weekly garden columns, YouTube videos, to weekly garden classes."
And that tradition of garden success is blooming brighter than ever! Whether you're a seasoned green thumb or just trying to keep your very first petunia alive, we are here to make sure you thrive in our unique, wild, and wonderful mountain climate.
