Unlike sprawling vines, Elpis is perfectly behaved. Reaching a manageable 3 to 4 feet tall, it is the ideal choice for weaving through a low trellis or brightening a tight garden border.
This stunning vine thrives in Zones 7 and 8, loving bright, full sun on its leaves while needing its roots kept cool. To protect those roots, give your vine the strongest start by blending Watters Premium Mulch directly into your native garden soil at planting. Hungry vines need fuel, so feed them regularly with 7-4-4 All-Purpose Plant Food to encourage continuous ruby blooms. Best of all, this tough climber is naturally resistant to deer and rabbits!
