Growing one of these here would require providing well-draining, slightly acidic soil and ensuring consistent moisture, especially when young. They thrive in full sun and appreciate protection from harsh winds.

While not a typical choice for our Arizona landscapes due to the differing climate and soil conditions, select a reputable source for your seedling if you're determined to try. Amend your planting area generously with organic matter and Watters Premium All Purpose Plant Food to give it the best possible start. Consistent watering will be crucial, especially during our hot, dry periods. A layer of Watters Premium Mulch will help to retain soil moisture and regulate temperature.
