Ah, the 'Golden Pothos' (Epipremnum aureum)! If you are new to houseplants, or just busy, this is the plant for you. It's often called the "cubicle plant" because it is so resilient, but with its beautiful heart-shaped leaves splashed with gold, it deserves a starring role in your brightest rooms.

This vine is incredibly adaptable, tolerating low light, but to really make those yellow and gold variegations pop, give it medium to bright indirect light. If you notice the leaves losing their golden flecks and turning mostly green, that's your plant telling you it needs more light to keep its color. Watering is simple: wait until the top two inches of soil are dry to the touch, and then water until it drains out the bottom. If the leaves start to droop slightly, that's its dramatic way of telling you it's thirsty! You can let it trail down from a hanging basket or climb a support; it's a fast grower either way. A simple liquid houseplant fertilizer once a month in the spring and summer is all it needs to thrive.
