Sip, Plant & Socialize: Watters Garden Center Announces "Sangria & Succulents" Water-Wise Social Event

Calling all plant lovers, beginner gardeners, and social circles looking for the perfect mid-summer happy hour! Watters Garden Center is thrilled to announce its next popular Sip & Shop event, "Sangria & Succulents: The Water-Wise Social," taking place on Thursday, July 16, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Designed with a vibrant, colorful, and highly approachable vibe, this event is the ultimate destination for a younger demographic, local neighbors, friends, and the ultimate "sisterhood" night out. Whether you are a seasoned green thumb or have never owned a plant in your life, "Sangria & Succulents" offers a fresh, fun, and easy entry into the world of low-maintenance gardening.

Event Highlights:

·      Curated Succulent Displays: Explore specially curated tables featuring bursts of colorful Echeveria, Sedum, and Sempervivum arranged in unexpected, chic, and rustic containers.

·      The DIY Potting Station: Take the fun into your own hands! Guests can select a unique container, purchase a premium, fast-draining soil blend, and design their very own custom succulent arrangement to take home. Plus, all the potting soil to plant them at the event is free for the potting:)

·      Sip & Stroll: Grab a glass of refreshing, fruity sangria and catch up with friends while exploring the beautiful, high-desert grounds of the garden center.

"We wanted to create an evening that blends the social, fun energy of a happy hour with the rewarding experience of getting your hands dirty," says Ken Lain, owner of Watters Garden Center. "Succulents are the perfect gateway plant, they are incredibly resilient, water-wise, and visually stunning. This event is all about bringing the community together, sharing a summer drink, and walking away with a living piece of art you created yourself."

No prior gardening experience is necessary. The Watters team will be on hand at the Potting Station to provide expert guidance on design layout and succulent care tips for the high-desert climate.
