NEWS RELEASE

PRESCOTT, AZ, January 12, 2021

Yavapai county was filled with open rangeland and cattle in 1962, and only 12,000 residents in Prescott. 59 years later, Watters Garden Center is still recognized as the ‘Best in Class’ place to find plants.

The Readers Choice Awards survey thousands of local gardeners throughout Yavapai county and asks their opinion of who their favorite garden center is. Their answer has been Watters Garden Center again.

“Thank you to all those that recognized Watters as their go-to place for plants. We never take this award for granted,” says McKenzie Lain, 3rd generation owner of Watters Garden Center.

“Watters’ very beginnings teaching gardeners how to grow in rocky mountain soils has led to awards like this,” says Lisa Watters-Lain, owner. “We don’t believe Watters is selling plants, rather garden success, from weekly garden columns, YouTube video, to weekly garden classes.”

This weekend begins Watters spring garden class series free every Saturday at 9:30 am to local gardeners. Watters Garden Center, 1815 Iron Springs Road in Prescott. Also live-streamed at FB.com/WattersGardenCenter.
