03/22/2018 Ken Davis

Wine Flows and spirits lifted as the gardens come alive at Watters Garden Center as they host Prescott Frontier Rotary’s 13th Grapes-4-Grades benefit. On June 24, from 5–7 pm, the garden center transforms into “A Garden Party,” with all proceeds going directly to Rotary causes and the Prescott Unified School District’s 21st Century Grant Summer Program. Grapes-4-Grades received an outpouring of support in 2017 raising more than $52,000, with high hopes to exceed that total in 2018.  See Pinterest Board for past Grapes-4-Grades events.

The event features a gorgeous night of wine and song, with the Steve Annibale Jazz trio, 12 different wines and artisan beers available for tasting. Delicious hors d’oeuvre catered by El Gato Azul, live auction, and cash drawing, all in the lush, vibrant setting of northern Arizona’s most beautiful garden center. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at Watters Garden Center, Prescott True Value, and Olsen’s Grain.

The 21st Century Grant Summer Program elevates kinder garden students through 4th grades on academic classes in science, computer, gardening, even yoga, so students continue to do their best. All students are eligible for this summer program starting at breakfast and ending the day with lunch. Last year, more than 200 students honed their academic skills!

Wines are poured with photo opportunities that overflow all benefiting Rotary’s core community causes. Prescott Frontier Rotary is a weekly gathering of local business leaders that provide opportunities to serve others, benefit their community while promoting high ethical standards, fellowship, and goodwill in Prescott, Arizona and globally.

Watters Garden Center is a locally owned garden center that believes small businesses enrich their community and can change the world. Watters specializes in providing the expertise and products that get things growing in the mountains of Arizona, keeping the garden safe, natural and organic.

All are invited to the 13th annual ‘Grapes-4-Grades’ that supports education, strong business ethics, better communities, ending polio globally, and leadership skills for even the smallest of companies.
