FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Prescott Frontier Rotary’s Grapes-4-Good Makes a Difference

October 11, 2022: Prescott Frontier Rotary is delighted to announce this year’s annual Grapes-4-Good fundraiser blew the corks off last year’s event! On September 25, Watters Garden Center hosted ‘A Garden Party’ event with wines and artisan beers paired with delicious hors d’oeuvre by chef Barry Barbe of El Gato Azul, a live auction, music, drawings, and more. A record 412 attendees were on hand to support this year’s Rotary causes. Thanks to Prescott Frontier Rotary and the generous communities of Arizona’s central highlands, Grapes-4-Good raised over $129,000 for the community.

Already donations are going to the community and Rotary’s Math and Reading program, a Middle School summer school program, Path to Graduation at Bradshaw Mountain High School for Seniors, Rotary Interact leadership club, Kids Against Hunger, Dolly Partons Imagination Library, along with Rotary’s global student exchange programs.

“It’s amazing what an active Rotary Club can do here in Prescott, Arizona,” says Lori Decker, Rotary president. “We are making the world a better place, and Grapes-4-Good is a large part of our success.”

Internationally, Prescott Frontier Rotary is eradicating polio by working with 46,000 other clubs worldwide. The club operates on hurricane disaster relief, providing clean drinking water projects, Crutches for Africa, and a Children’s Medical Fund in Caborca, Mexico. The Rotary Foundation has donated over $15 million in food, water, and medical supplies in Ukraine since the start of the war.

The evenings’ donations go directly into the community because of the generosity of this year’s sponsors. “When private companies believe in and support a Nonprofit, they thrive,” says Lisa Watters-Lain, owner of Watters Garden Center. “We support nonprofits we believe in with the talent and resources that builds them up and makes a difference.” A BIG Thank you to this year’s sponsors, The Daily Courier, Lamb Chevrolet, Perry and Sandy Massie Foundation, Talking Glass Media and the Fain Signature Group, El Gato Azul, Loyd’s Liquor, Pinnacle Bank, Quad Cities Business News, Foothills Bank, Dignity Health YRMC, Yavapai Health and Wellness Magazine, Northern Arizona Social, Lonesome Valley Newspaper, Sir Speedy Printing, Estate of Lois M.
